During a long, lonely night in Ramadan, Leyla, a young eighteen year old girl, confronts her demons and her body pushes her to recall what happened to her, to free words and break the taboo which crippled her life.
Born in Algiers, Meriem Riveill grew up in Tunisia where she completed her baccalauréat. She later settled in Paris where she studied filmmaking and scriptwriting. TABOU is her second film.
